With the rest of our country and the world we mourn the loss of the greatest monarch in history who has led the Commonwealth through a turbulent 20th Century and beyond.  Seventy years of service that we all feel immense gratitude for.

On Her Majesty’s 21st birthday in 1947, the then Princess Elizabeth vowed that her “whole life, whether it be long or short, shall be devoted to your service” in an address broadcast to the Commonwealth, a commitment which was reaffirmed during her Coronation in 1953.  She kept that pledge to the end.

21st April 1926 to 8th September 2022, aged 96 years

Rest in peace your Majesty, your work here is done.
